July Beauty Favourites

As it is now the beginning of August, I thought I would share with you the top 5 beauty products I have been loving throughout the month of July. As the weather was pretty hot within July I had to overhaul my products to accommodate the summer climate. I also took it as a chance to be more daring (for me); incorporating some contouring and a bold pink lip.

Number 1 of my favourites is the: L'Oreal Paris Nude Magique Eau De Teint Foundation

I had heard a lot about how this is 'lighter than water' with a 'zero make-up feel', but I never actually believed I would like it as much as I do. You only need a small blob, it glides on easily with it's liquid to powder finish, and gives a surprisingly good coverage for something so light. I went for the lightest shade (even in the middle of summer - I'm that pale) and it matches my skin tone perfectly. This has become my new foundation favourite.

My next favourite is the: L'Oréal Paris Glam Bronze Duo; to get some colour onto my pale face, and to sculpt my cheekbones - A bit of highlighter is always a plus in my books too.

This compact combines a highlighter, a bronzer and a hidden compartment with a mirror and a brush. This makes it perfect for touch-ups throughout the day - although the brush is a little scratchy, so I use a softer one.

Favourite number 3: Bourjois Flower Prefection Primer

This is a good little primer that is small enough to fit in a make-bag with ease, yet last for ages. This is a good product to have in the summer, as it hides pores and helps your make-up stay on longer (especially if you're a bit sweaty from the heat).

4: Mac Pro Longwear Concealer

This little gem will hide (almost) any imperfection, and lasts for ages on the skin. The only downfall is that it's quite expensive and you don't get a lot of product for your money. However, if you do have dark circles and blemishes, I would say it's worth the investment if you can afford it.

Lastly, my favourite formulation of lipstick ever: Soap and Glory SUPER-COLOUR FABULIPSTICK™ POWDERCOAT™ MATTE in Pom Pom.

I have tried many lipsticks in my time and they always seem to make my lips look cracked and dry; especially the matte varieties. Then I found this, it goes on smoothly, lasts for ages and has excellent colour pay off - I really do want one in every colour. As it is summer, I went for a daring bright pink (the colour doesn't shown quite as well when photographed). This really does liven up a neural make-up look, and is a very complimentary colour for my skin tone, compared to the other bight pinks I'm used to. This is going to be a firm favourite of mine for a while I think.

I hope you've enjoyed my July beauty favourites, please feel free to let me know what yours are, I would love any suggestions.

Cya.

  1. MAC's Pro Longwear concealer is my fave concealer ever! No other concealer covers my dark circles like this one, and most others make my under eyes look ashy too. I agree you don't get much product for your money but it lasts me like 6 months! Depends how much you use it I suppose :)

    1. Haha, you've done well at preserving it, I don't generally use it everyday, just special occasions ;) I do find that it comes out so fast you can't really control how much - a bit of a downfall, but the coverage is great which means one pump does last to cover my whole face :)
