Embroidered dresses, kittens and other things I love this week.

Yesterday, a friend and I spent the day looking for the pastel tiled wall at Sugarhouse Studios to use in some blog pics, however, after a short walk around Bermondsey we were unsuccessful and settled with the above wall; it wasn't quite as picturesque, but it did the job. We then headed into Notting Hill for some lunch and 'sightseeing' aka looking at pretty houses. Which brings me onto my first love of the week...

1. The colourful houses of Notting Hill

It was a dreary day when we visited Notting Hill and it pretty much rained from the moment we got there, but that didn't stop us exploring the area. We started off having lunch at the Swedish cafe Lisa's Kitchen then explored Portobello market and the surrounding houses.

2. Sprout

Sprout, if you follow me on Instagram or Snapchat you will know, is my new kitten. We got him a week ago and so far he has pretty much taken over the whole house with toys and his general presence - not that I'm complaining.

2. Me After You

If you have seen the movie or read the book Me Before You you will be familiar with the general story - if you haven't, you should. This is the sequel to the book and so far I am loving it.

4. Embroidered Smock Dress

I love the current embroidered trend as I love flowers on pretty much everything: clothes, in my house, on my food; everywhere. This dress from Primark isn't the most flattering for my body shape - as pointed out by my boyfriend - however, I love how comfortable and unrestrictive it is, plus it was only £13!

Excuse the million cigarette buts on the floor ...

5. Aquavit

I am currently obsessed with all things Scandi, and the Nordic restaurant Aquavit satisfies this obsession. It has recently opened in St Jame's Market, London, however originated in New York where it has received two Michelin stars. Check it out if you're ever after a smörgåsbord and a selection of Aquavit.

  1. Notting Hill is so beautiful and I love your little kitten and his name! xx
