Current beauty loves

I must admit that I have never been one to have dry skin, but for some reason, the weather we have had so far this year in London has made my skin terrible. Therefore,  I have been in search of skincare that would help my troublesome skin... If you have any suggestions, let me know.

This brings me onto my first beauty favourites from the past month:

1) Lush Mint Julips Lip Scrub

I must admit that I put off buying this lip scrub as I thought it would be one of those overrated products; why buy a lip scrub when you could mix some sugar and oil at home? Well, I never got around to making the said sugar/oil concoction and decided to find out what all the fuss was about, so purchased Mint Julips. Now I am hooked. You only need a bit to stop dry cracked lips, and it tastes great - well worth a purchase if you have dry, cracked winter lips like me.

Find it here.

2) Advanced Night Repair Intensive Recovery Ampoules

Another product I was dubious about were the Estee Lauder Intensive Recovery Ampoules, as they made a lot of claims: "Ideal For: Brightening and repair, Calming visibly stressed skin, Soothing irritation, Strengthening skin, Fortifying oil treatment..." However, even though they might not do all of those things, I did find that they made my skin softer and smoother in the morning. The downside is that the 'ampoule', I find, is a bit unnecessary and maybe a bit more novelty than function.

3) Neal's Yard Aloe and Lavender Deodorant

This one is a bit of a weird one as it is... well... deodorant after all. However, I felt like I wanted to mention it as I don't usually find natural deodorants that A) I like the smell of and B) I think actually work. I usually use this before bed when I feel like I need a little something to stay 'fresh' overnight - TMI?

4) Nuxe Cleaning Gel

I first mentioned my love of Nuxe when I spoke about the dry body oil as one of my favourites here, and I love the cleansing gel just as much. It claims it is for normal to combination skin, and can be used on the face and eyes, which I love as I like my daily cleanser to be as gentle as possible. It also smells of one of my favourite scents: roses.

5) Clinique Take the Day Off Makeup Remover for Lids, Lashes and Lips ft. Sprout photobombing

Shockingly, until now, I had never really used eye makeup remover to remove my mascara - I would just use my usual cleaner and hope for the best. However, now I have used this remover there is no turning back, it makes removing my makeup in the evening so much easier, although... I may be bias, as this is pretty much the only option I have ever used... but it seems pretty good to me.

6) Yves Saint Laurent Touche Eclat in No.1

This was a repurchase (not something I usually do) as this is one of my favourite products for making me look more awake. If you're after a very subtle highlight, this is the wand for you - it is also great for covering up dark circles. This is the 'Start Collector' edition to celebrate it's 25th birthday, the packaging also comes filled with tiny little stars, which if you're me, is very exciting - you may have seen it if you follow me on Insta

Sprout loves it too...
